ATV Poker Run
Join us for our annual ATV Poker Run! All proceeds support local first responders.
The route usually will be approximately 75-100 miles. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Broadwater County Fairgrounds. Start time is 9 a.m. Check points MUST be in place prior to start, so no early start times will be allowed.
Only street legal four-wheelers and side-by-sides are permitted. No dirt bikes, motorcycles, trucks or Jeeps.
Canyon Ferry Walleye Festival
June 25-27 2021 - Canyon Ferry Walleye Festival is the one fishing tournament you want to win in Montana. With a grand prize of $10,000, competitors come from all over the country to fish our beautiful reservoir and explore all that Townsend has to offer. The sunrise start sends almost 150 boats across the water in a hurry to find where the big ones are waiting. This is truly a sight to see!
Shakespeare in the Park
Montana Shakespeare in the Parks will be back this year on July 30th, 2022, at Heritage Park
Ghost Stroll
Townsend businesses host a youth Halloween stroll on the night of October 31st from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. White Pumpkins will be displayed on the outside of participating businesses. Dress up and come enjoy a fun night.
Christmas Stroll
December 3rd, 4pm-7pm is when you should stroll on down to Townsend for great food, atmosphere, fun and maybe even a little early shopping for the holidays. Parade of Lights will be at 4:30pm. Our SANTA hat raffle is becoming a huge part of the stroll. Wear your hat around for the day and enjoy a Norman Rockwell style Christmas Stroll in our cozy, friendly town.
